Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 18, 2026 | Last updated: June 18, 2026 | GoToFoam.com
Short version: We collect only what we need to run the stock scanner and send you alerts you opt into. We never sell your data. SMS alerts are strictly for trade signals — no marketing.

1. Who We Are
Top Shelf Value operates a quantitative stock scanning dashboard at topshelfvalue.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with our website, scanner dashboard, and SMS alert service.
—
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly:
– Phone number — collected when you opt in to SMS trade alerts. Used solely to deliver alerts you request.
– Trade decisions — when you mark a signal as Buy, Watch, or Skip inside the dashboard, that decision is stored locally on your server.
– Position data — stock positions you enter (ticker, buy price, date) are stored on your server to enable P&L tracking and exit alerts.
We do not collect names, addresses, payment information, or browsing history.
—
3. SMS Alerts — How We Use Your Phone Number
By providing your phone number and opting in to SMS alerts, you agree to receive automated text messages from Top Shelf Value including:
– Buy and sell signal alerts generated by the quant scanner
– Position exit warnings (stop-loss hit, target reached, negative signal)
– Pre-market and after-hours gap alerts for tickers you hold
– High-impact economic calendar reminders (FOMC, CPI, jobs reports)
– News sentiment warnings for held positions
No marketing messages will ever be sent. SMS alerts are transactional — trade signal notifications only. Message frequency varies based on market activity. Message & data rates may apply.
To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any message. To get help, reply HELP.
Your phone number is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. It is used exclusively to deliver alerts through our messaging provider (Twilio).
—
4. Data Storage
All scanner data (signals, positions, history, watchlist) is stored on your IONOS shared hosting server under your own account. We do not maintain a central database of user data.
—
5. Third-Party Services
The scanner uses the following third-party data sources:
– Yahoo Finance — market data (prices, indicators, news headlines).
– Forex Factory — economic calendar data.
– Twilio — SMS delivery. Your phone number is transmitted to Twilio solely to deliver alert messages. Twilio’s privacy policy: twilio.com/legal/privacy
—
6. Data Security
The scanner dashboard is protected by a secret API key. We recommend keeping your dashboard URL private and not sharing your key. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately.
—
7. Your Rights
– Access — you can view all stored data directly on your server.
– Deletion — you can delete any data file at any time from your server.
– Opt-out of SMS — reply STOP to any message, or contact us to remove your number.
—
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the scanner or SMS alerts after changes constitutes acceptance.
—
9. Sharing Data
Mobile information and messaging consent will not be shared with third parties
or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number and SMS
consent are collected solely to send you trade alert notifications and will
never be sold, rented, or transferred to any third party for any marketing purpose.
